The glamour and fun spans over two days featuring live entertainment from drag queens, local and nationally recognised performers, a street party, karaoke and much, much more.

The Dolly Parton festival comes to life in the rural town of Narromine which is not known for its flirty character but rather its rich aviation heritage, Indigenous history and local farming produce.

Located 400 kilometres west of Sydney, the journey takes around five and half hours. The Dubbo Regional Airport is just 20 minutes from Narromine, so flying is a hassle-free alternative. The XPT regional train service also arrives in Dubbo daily at 2pm from Sydney, where you will find CountryLink buses are readily available to complete the journey.

If you’re taking the time to travel, the Narromine region offers breathtaking sunsets, lush wheat and canola crops and a close-knit community experience that is difficult to find anywhere else in the world. You’ll be tumbling out of bed and stumbling out to Narromine for this one!

Before you do, make sure you’ve planned somewhere to put your feet up after a big night of dancing, and do it early because accommodation options in Narromine are limited. If you’re able to travel, Dubbo is a 30 minute drive and offers a much more expansive list of options.

The Dolly Parton Festival provides the perfect opportunity for a saucy hens party, a spontaneous reunion or a snazzy family weekend celebrating this iconic woman. See y’all there for a faancyy festival!
